Things You'll Need:
- No-bake cheesecake mix, including crust
- 1/3 cup chopped pecans
- 1/3 cup miniature chocolate chips
- Caramel syrup
-
Step 1
Prepare cheesecake mix crust as directed on the package. If your mix does not include a crust, choose either a chocolate or regular graham cracker pie crust. Most cheesecake mixes come ready for a nine inch pie crust.
-
Step 2
Drizzle caramel sauce over pie crust in any pattern you like, but not entirely covering the crust. Straight lines of caramel back and forth, plus vertical lines give good results for your Turtle Cheesecake. Using a good caramel sauce will give the best results. Caramel used for sundaes are perfect for this recipe.
-
Step 3
Mix chopped pecans and chocolate chips in a bowl. Pecans can be purchased already chopped to save time and make this recipe even easier. Miniature chocolate chips are best for this recipe.
-
Step 4
Sprinkle about a third of the chopped pecans and chocolate chips on top of the caramel in the pie crust in an even layer. Aim for only a slight sprinkling, saving the rest for the top of the Turtle Cheesecake.
-
Step 5
Mix the cheesecake mix as directed on the box, and pour into the pie crust. Ensure it is in an even layer by smoothing with the back of a large spoon.
-
Step 6
Sprinkle the remaining pecan pieces and chocolate chips on top of cheesecake evenly. This layer should be much thicker than the layer on the bottom.
-
Step 7
Top with another drizzle of caramel sauce on the top. Using vertical and horizontal stripes is also recommended for this step.
-
Step 8
Chill until Turtle Cheesecake is set, most mixes call for about an hour. Enjoy!
