First, while aim high, start low.
Life is a long journey, it has lots of sections and each with its own unique story. Divide this big project into numerous smaller more manageable projects, focus on one essay a time. Overtime, you will accumulate those small essays into a big memoir.

Second, find your topics.
Once you start focusing on those individual essays, you have to decide what will be the topic for the specific essay. Focus on the interesting life stories during that particular journey, think about what choices did you make that have changed your life since then, who were involved at that time and at what relationship with you, what lessons did you learn, what changes have you experienced, etc.?

Third, try to capture the details but leave out what you don't feel like to share.
What music did you listen? What were your favorite food? Who were your best friend that time? What places did you go? What's the weather like? Can you include some old pictures? All in all, make your memoir a vivid one so when people read it, they will resonate the experience you had. At the same time, we all have secretes, decide whether to share it with the public or not, it is your call, but remember, you must tell the truth!

Fourth, set a goal - do you want to finish it in a month? In half year?
Whatever your plan is, once you decide it, stick to it. For example, if you decide to write one chapter per week, remind yourself each week - I have a job to be done!
