If you have just started using Joomla, adding the title of your website will probably be one of the first modifications you want to do. If you already have a website created using Joomla, you may need to alter the title. See the steps below for information on how to change the title of a website using Joomla.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Go to your Joomla administrator panel and select "menu", then select "main menu".

  2. Step 2

Select the button next to home and click the edit icon on the upper right (you can also accomplish this by clicking on the word "home"). This will allow you to edit your Joomla home menu.

  3. Step 3

On the right side of the screen will be a section called "Parameters (System)". Click the little green arrow to the left of that section to maximize that section. There will be a box for you to type in your Joomla page title. There will also be a radio button where you can decide to show your Joomla page title or not.

  4. Step 4

Once you have made your changes, select "apply" and "save". You will automatically be returned to the Joomla Menu Item Manager.
