How to have a Happy GaGaWeen

Adults can enjoy Halloween as much as children do. Just not in the same way. As adults we know that all that sugar is bad for you so we won't be seeking a sugar rush or try to recover from a sugar coma the next day. We can however use Halloween to step outside of ourselves and become someone or something else. For ladies who have ever wanted to take a walk on the wild side, Lady GaGa's fashion sense allows you to do Sexy or Bizarre or both--at the same time.

   Gaga on Fame Ball

   First, who is Lady GaGa. Lady GaGa was born with the name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta. You have to admit, Lady GaGa is shorter. Also, there are two Gs and more than two As in her real name so she did not create her name out of whole cloth. What is more germane to us is that Lady GaGa is what is know as a glam rocker. She is a singer who likes to dress up in glamorous and/or bizarre costumes. If you pull off your Lady GaGa Look correctly, everyone at that Halloween Party will remember your name.

   So the first thing you need to do is to Google GaGa. In particular you can use Google or use the Microsoft search engine Bing to search for images of Lady Gaga. Now you have to make a decision. Do you want to go for sexy or bizarre or a disturbing combination of both?

   Now that you have decided on what Lady GaGa look to emulate, it's time to look at the budget. If you have unlimited funds, go down to Rodeo Drive or the nearest equivalent where you live and buy a Lady GaGa knock off and your done.
   
   If you are more like the rest of us, you are not exactly rolling in dough. Never fear second hand stores and Good Will to the rescue. What we are looking for in the budget GaGa is some of the more eye catching aspects of her attire rather than the expensive touches. So look for shiny fabrics and costume jewelery that are eye catching. In addition, use your best bad taste. Let's be serious, wearing something that looks like piece of a curtain or art deco furniture, or an artist easel is about have some fun with bad taste. One of these things is not like the other, that thing will be you. Find something that is impractical and weird and use it as a fashion statement. A funky crown constructed of the broken off gold lame, high heeled stilettos for instance. Shoes on your head--now that's bizarre.
