How to Clean Urine Out of a Bed

Whether it's an accident by your child or your dormitory roommate, you will probably find yourself cleaning urine out of a bed at some point in your life. Fortunately, removing urine from bed linens is a fairly labor-light task.

Things You'll Need

• Water
• Hydrogen peroxide
• Enzymatic cleaner
• Rags or paper towels

Instructions

1. Remove all bedsheets and blankets from the bed.

2. Use a paper towel or rag to blot the urine stain. Do so until all liquid is absorbed.

3. Pour the hydrogen peroxide directly on the stain. Allow the peroxide to bubble. Once it has stopped foaming, wipe away with a rag or paper towel.

4. Spray the enzymatic cleaner onto the stain. Allow the cleaner to sit as directed.

5. Wipe the cleaner away with a paper towel or rag.

6. Dampen a rag or towel in water. Scrub the affected area to remove any traces of the hydrogen peroxide and enzymatic cleaner.

7. Allow the spot to air dry.

Tips & Warnings

• You can also try using a small amount of dish soap or white vinegar in place of hydrogen peroxide.

• Always use gloves when handling chemicals.
