How to Activate a Blackberry on Cingular

Because of the abilities of the software, many businesspeople and individuals use Blackberry cell phones for calling others, as well as for organizing their lives. Instructions

1. Unlock your Blackberry Phone if you took it from another provider. Contact your previous carrier for the unlock code or use an unlocking service to unlock the phone. If your phone was bought from Cingular, or you know the Blackberry is unlocked, you do not need to perform this step this step.

2. Open up the battery compartment of your Blackberry cell phone and look for the SIM card slot.

3. Remove any previous SIM card inside the slot.

4. Insert the SIM card provided for you by Cingular into the phone card slot.

5. Close the battery cover and turn the phone on. The phone should boot up and connect to Cingular.

• Check the positioning of the SIM card if the phone can't connect.

• If you bring your phone to Cingular from another service, you may not be able to access all of the services Cingular has with the phone.
