How to Use a Boot Jack

Boot jacks are a simple, yet ingenious device used to remove boots. Removing one boot is not a big problem, just brace your boot toe against the heel of one boot and remove your foot. Removing the second boot can be a bit more challenging if the boot is muddy. Now you are faced with either getting your hands or sock dirty from the boot. Boot jacks remove boots with ease and hands are kept clean. Simple boot jacks can be made with a sturdy tree branch and small block of wood. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

      Place one foot on the boot jack.

    • 2

      Place the heel of your other boot into the "Y" of the boot jack.

    • 3

      Pull your foot from the boot while the boot is secured in the jack.

    • 4

      Remove that boot from the "Y."

    • 5

      Repeat the same process to remove the other boot.
