Tips & Warnings
Match your home fragrance oils to your massage goals for the best results. If you have an invigorating and refreshing fragrance, use it for a refreshing massage. If you are giving a relaxing massage, use a soft and relaxing home fragrance.
You can use a clear plastic bottle to mix and warm your massage oil. However, use a dark glass bottle if you need to store a large quantity of the oil for an extended period of time. The dark glass will prevent damage to the fragrance. Place the bottle in a cool, dark, dry place.
Be careful about allergic reactions when using home fragrance oils for massage. Ask the person getting the massage to rub a drop of the oil onto their wrist and wait 24 hours. If there's no adverse reaction, the oil is safe to massage them with.
Always check the scent strength and concentration of a home fragrance oil before use. If you have an extremely strong, highly concentrated scent, you may want to use only 4 drops of the fragrance for the massage oil mixture instead of 6 drops.
Never use home fragrance oils to massage a person's face. The oils are not intended for use around sensitive areas such as the eyes, nose or mouth.
