How to Design Fresh Calla Lily Centerpieces

Calla lilies represent magnificent beauty and love. They have been used for years as a decor element and have become increasingly popular as a wedding theme; incorporate them in the decoration for your wedding cake, sweetheart table and centerpieces. Submerged calla lilies with a floating candle and some lights can create a dramatic and breathtaking centerpiece with a modern twist.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 24 inch cylinder vase
  • One submersible light
  • Green stem wire
  • 12 fresh calla lilies
  • White pebbles
  • Floating candle
  • Lit base (optional)
  1. Step 1

    Choose a submersible light. Place it at the bottom of the cylinder vase.

  2. Step 2

    Fill the vase with 4 inches of white pebbles and three-fourths of the way with water.

  3. Step 3

    Cut the flower heads off of the cally lilies. String them evenly 1 inch apart on an 18-inch wire. Shape the wire into a spiral.

  4. Step 4

    Place the spiral wire in the cylinder. Place a lit floating candle at the top.

Tips & Warnings
  • To achieve a more lit look, place the cylinder vase on an LED-lit base.
