Instructions

  1. Heating a Cat House

    • 1

Lay a heating blanket down flat inside the cat house.

    • 2

Lay down PVC pipe from where you will plug the extension cord into the cat house.

    • 3

Run the extension cord through the PVC pipe and into the cat house. The PVC pipe will help to prevent your cat from chewing or scratching on the extension cord

    • 4

Plug in the heating blanket. Make sure that any cords are as hidden as possible to prevent your cat from biting or scratching them.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you are worried about using electrical blankets, you may opt to use thermal pads in order to heat your cat house. These are non-electric.

  • Make sure that your cat house is well insulated and protected against the weather before installing a heated pad.

  • Make sure there are no city ordinances against using outdoor extension chords, and check to make sure that nothing violates any city code.

  • Don't cover the entire inside of your cat house with a heating blanket. Your cat should be able to get away from the heat to remain comfortable.
