How to Install a Bolt on a Dodge Ram Billet Grille

Installing a bolt on a Dodge Ram billet grille is similar to installing a bolt on any other component. A billet grille is an optional piece of equipment that can be added to enhance the looks of your Ram. Many grilles are made of 6063-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, and will remain rust-free for the life of the vehicle.

Instructions

    • 1

Align the mounting bracket on the grille with the mounting bracket on the back of the bumper. The mounting bracket on the grille will lay over the bracket on the bumper.

    • 2

Thread the bolt through both of the brackets. Be careful that you do not cross-thread the bolt. The bolt should thread and go on fairly easily. Do not force the bolt. If it will not thread easily, back the bolt off and start over.

Tighten the bolt hand-tight, and then adjust it with a socket wrench. You should tighten the bolt until you feel resistance on the bolt head. These mounting bolts will snap easily if you try to tighten them beyond the point of holding the grille in place.
