Regular Storing
-
1
Choose the drawers you want to store your dishes in. If you have a lot of dishes and shallow drawers, you will need to use more than one drawer to store your dishes.
-
2
Thoroughly clean your dishes. Remove any grim and particles on your dishes.
-
-
3
Group the dishes together and stack them up. Dinner plates, salad plates, salad bowls and soup bowls should be grouped in separate stacks.
-
4
Place one stack of dishes in the drawer. If the stack is too high for you to be able to shut the drawer, you will have to use more than one drawer.
-
5
Place a skid-proof shelf liner in the bottom of the drawer. You may need to cut the liner to the correct size for your drawer.
-
6
Place the stacks of dishes inside the drawer and carefully close the drawer. If you are storing the dishes long term, place a paper towel between each dish. This helps prevents the dishes from chipping.

8
Purchase a pegboard at a local hardware or home supply store. Cut it to fit the bottom of your drawer.

9
Place a stack of dishes inside the drawer, and mark the four peg holes that sit closest to the dishes. You will need one peg for each corner, creating a square around the dishes.

10
Remove the dishes and use wood glue to glue in a wooden dowel in each of the four peg holes. Attempt to close the drawer, and check to see that the dowels aren't too long for the drawer to close.
