How to Level a Class C Motorhome
It is not much fun walking around in a motor home or trying to sleep on an angle when your RV isn't level. An off-level RV can even damage your refrigerator, and you can't even bake cookies if the oven isn't level. Class C motor homes usually come with powered, hydraulic leveling jacks to assist with this process. This means leveling your motor home is as easy as the push of a button. However, older models do not have this feature, and you must level your motor home by yourself.

- Bubble or bull's eye level
- Adhesive level.

Park on a level spot. Place your level on a counter to see that the interior is level from the front to back and side to side. If necessary, use a stabilizer jack to level it as close as possible.

Put the RV in reverse and then drive, to move the motor home back and forth to make the unit level.

Place a board under the tire if you cannot level your RV moving back and forth.

Place chocks and apply your parking brake to prevent rolling once level. Remember, your tires should be completely on the boards. Don't use stabilizers for primary leveling. They aren't built for the weight and you may stress the frame.

Tips & Warnings
Stick the adhesive level permanently to the dash or somewhere in the cockpit. Mount it where it is easy to see.
