Silk floral bouquets are becoming more popular among brides for a variety of reasons. Silk flowers offer easy preservation and better availability for brides who are not getting married during traditional flowering months. Silk bouquets also are a good money-saving option, and they are easy to create at home.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 dozen silk flowers
  • Silk leaves
  • Wire cutters
  • Floral tape
  • Ribbon
  1. Step 1

Take half of the silk flowers, and gather them together tightly in your hand. Check the stems to make sure they are all the same length. If they are not, use your wire cutters to trim longer stems.

  2. Step 2

Adjust the flowers until they make a circular pattern in your hand. When you are satisfied with the shape, use floral tape to secure the small bunch.

  3. Step 3

Take the remaining flowers and position them around the outside of the smaller bunch in a circular pattern. Bend the stems slightly outward to create a more flowing arrangement. Secure the bundle with floral tape.

  4. Step 4

Slide your hand upwards on the wired stems lightly to tighten the arrangement. The wires will bend and any gaps will tighten up to create a full arrangement.

  5. Step 5

Carefully stick the silk leaves around the outside to frame the bouquet. Use the floral tape you already have secured to the bouquet as a fastening point.

  6. Step 6

Set the bouquet aside, and cut the ribbon from the spool on a diagonal. A diagonal cut will avoid frayed ends. Tie the ribbon around the bouquet about halfway up the stems. Make sure all floral tape is covered by the ribbon.
