Things You'll Need:
- Theme
- volunteers
- a product
- pamphlets
-
Step 1
Ok all the teachers, coaches, small business owners, etc. make a theme a subject a cause and use this as a theme. A good fundraiser should first create a question. Why?
-
Step 2
Now that you have a question its time to answer that question. This will be the pitch or the organized information that you have come up with to answer step one. You may need to go to Kinkos or a local print shop to make flyers or pamphlets. Also ask staff or peers to help as a volunteers.
-
Step 3
That should be relatively simple but now its time for a location. A church or an auditorium is a really common place but I like to tell my clients to branch out and find new potential supporters. So depending on what your answer to step one of course. I like traffic find a popular shopping center a corner store near a great intersection. ALWAYS get permission this is a major factor to new traffic in a new location ( usually businesses will say yes). Next to being organized and having all the supplies you will need to set a goal. Have no fear your first sale is getting your location.

on 11/6/2009 This "article" is a waste of space. Poorly written. Difficult to even comprehend. (Does the author even understand the concept of commas, much less their use?)
Worse, the advice is really, really, really poor. The author has obviously never "started" a fundraiser.
There are a lot of good resources online for people getting into fundraising. This isn't one of them.
