Roasted Leg of Lamb
Roasted Leg of Lamb

A leg of lamb is incredibly tasty and not difficult to cook. Just make sure you have some time to let it cook.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Leg of Lamb
  • Garlic
  • Potatoes (Optional)
  1. Step 1

Cube two garlic cloves or more. Make sure the pieces are small enough to put into the leg of lamb.

  2. Step 2

Put the leg of lamb into a deep pyrex roasting pan. This will prevent the lamb from sticking to the pan.

  3. Step 3

Use a sharp tipped knife to make deep holes in the lamb. Push garlic into the holes throughout the length of the lamb.

  4. Step 4

Since the size of a leg of lamb varies, there are normally simple cooking instructions on the label for the leg of lamb. It is best to set the temperature at 450 degrees. Cook the lamb for 20 to 25 minutes per pound. Keep the lamb pink in the middle so that the most flavor will be preserved.

  5. Step 5

You can put potatoes in the pan as well and they will soak up some of the flavor of the lamb. The potatoes are optional.

  6. Step 6

Every so often baste the leg of lamb. This will keep the lamb juicy and flavorful.
