Things You'll Need:
- Seven guests or less
- A place to hold the party
- Fresh baked cookies
- Containers for everyone to take cookies home with
-
Step 1
Begin by deciding how many people to invite to the gathering. Remember each guest is bringing enough cookies for everyone to take home and one dozen to share during the party. Do not invite to many people or some may not want to participate, since they will feel overwhelmed baking to many treats. A good number is seven or less guests.
-
Step 2
Next you want to pick a day for everyone to gather at your home. Since the holiday season can be busy do not try an plan this for the week before Christmas. A nice Sunday afternoon is a perfect time, since many people do not have obligations on Sunday afternoon.
-
Step 3
Now it is time to send out the invites. When sending the invites be sure to put a specific R.S.V.P date on the invite. Remind each guest on the invite of the amount of treats they need to bring to share. Another great idea is to ask them to bring a copy of the recipe to share with others.
-
Step 4
As the R.S.V.P begin to come in ask each attendee what type of treat they are bringing. After all the last thing you want is seven of the same type of treat. This will make sure that you have a variety of what everyone is bring. If anyone has an allergies please make sure to make a note of them to other bakers.
-
Step 5
On the day of the party the set up will take minimal time. Refreshments will consist of beverages and the cookies everyone is bringing to sample. Provide containers for your guests to take home their treats in. As the guests arrive gather the cookies for sampling and place on some festive plates. That is all you need, so now you can sit back and enjoy sampling the treats with your guests.

on 11/2/2009 Smart having the guests RSVP and tell what type of treat they will bring-this is not an event that can be "loose" or it fails.
