Things You'll Need:
- Baby soap or cat shampoo (cats skin is very sensitive so you can't use dog shampoo or it might hurt them.)
- Bath tub
- Stool for you to sit on
- Towel
-
Step 1
First, run your cats bath water. Make it about a inch or two deep and the temperature should be luke warm. Get a cup to rinse your cat and baby shampoo or cat shampoo to wash it with. Get your cat into the room and put him into the tub.
-
Step 2
Try putting your feet in the water, it will be easier to sit on a stool and put your feet in - you'll be able to reach your cat better. Rinse off its tail, legs, chest, stomach, head (don't get water in your cats eyes, nose or ears if you can help it.) and back. Make sure the water soaks into your cats fur well, because your cats fur is water proof.
-
Step 3
Next squeeze some cat/baby shampoo into your hands - about as much as it takes to wash your hair or a little more. Then lather onto your cat and rinse him off well, then put a towel in your lap, squeeze your cats legs a little (not too hard!) to get off some extra water, then dry in the towel and let out the drain, then let your cat air dry.
