Even though things seem tough in this current economy as far as finding employment goes, during the holidays there is an abundance of work available in many industries. If you're willing to work temporarily, and willing to work hours many regular employees are not, it is possible to find seasonal work. Hotels, restaurants and department stores all need extra help during the holidays. Get out there and earn a little extra money for the holidays!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Be flexible! When applying for seasonal work, make yourself more available than the next person. During holiday seasons, managers are usually looking for people able to work weekends and evenings.

  2. Step 2

Smile! Friendliness is of the utmost importance when it comes to working with the public. Whether during an interview, or just simply handing your application to a cashier or to the server at a restaurant, be friendly - You want to make a positive impression with possible co-workers! No one wants a less-than-positive person working in their establishment.

  3. Step 3

Apply everywhere! If you are interested in seasonal work at a department store, don't limit yourself to 2 or 3 stores - fill out applications at several locations. Same goes for coffee shops, restaurants, hotels, etc. You may find yourself with a few job offers. Great! Having to choose from different opportunities is better than no choices!
