Things You'll Need:

  • Internet Connection
  • Computer
  • Trip to Farmer's Market
  1. Step 1

The first step to saving money this Thanksgiving is to regularly check your local grocery stores weekly ads either online or in your daily newspaper. Around Thanksgiving, especially two weeks prior to the holiday, stores will really advertise good specials. Paying close attention to the grocery store ads will help you find the lowest priced turkey, pumpkin pie, squash etc. in your area.

  2. Step 2

Another way to save money this Thanksgiving is to go to your local farmer's market. Many times farmer's markets have much better produce than grocery stores at a lower price. Ask merchants at the farmer's market if they have any seasonal produce at reduced prices.

  3. Step 3

Finally, another way to save money at Thanksgiving is to make homemade decorations. Buying decorations at the store is costly. Instead, make homemade decorations yourself and if you have children include them in the fun. Below are directions to make a Thanksgiving Placemat for the holidays.
