Things You'll Need:
- your cat
- his toys
- patience
- and some time
-
Step 1
First thing you want to do is let your cat familiarize them self with the training toy. For example ours was a crumpled piece of paper.
-
Step 2
Next thing he did was to play with the paper for a while. They will play with it for days and days. You cannot rush them, this is just a toy to them so they will go back and forth with it until he has an infatuation for it.
-
Step 3
Now this is where we come in. You start taking the paper from him while he is playing with it and you throw it. He will start chasing it and playing with it. Eventually he will realize that if you throw it for him he will have something to chase.
-
Step 4
Step "3 will take a little while. Then out of nowhere they will bring it back to you, and you pick it up and throw it again and next thing you know they are bringing back to you to throw again. Buddy now brings it back to me sets it at my feet and lays down until i pick it up and throw it again.

on 11/21/2009 I never knew you could train a cat to fetch. I will indeed have to try that.

on 11/1/2009 Aww. What a cutie! I like to play hide and go seek with my cats. I'll give playing fetch a try and see how they do. Thanks.
