How to Turn 1 Corner Over in Photoshop
Websites across the Internet use the page curl effect. This effect consists of a layered image in which one corner of the top layer peels back to reveal a small portion of the layer beneath. Many websites and blogs sport this design. As a designer or just a dabbling webmaster, you can create this design quickly and simply.
Instructions

Creating the Page Curl
-
1
Click the top layer in the Layers palette to make it active. There must be two layers: the background, or the layer your peel effect will expose, and a layer consisting of the image you want to peel back.
-
2
Click the rectangle marquee tool in the Tools palette to select it.
-
-
3
Press and hold the Shift key, then click and drag a rectangle over the corner on which you want to create the peel effect.
-
4
Click "Edit" in the top toolbar, hover over "Transform" and click "Warp" from the drop-down menu. A grid will appear over the selected area.
-
5
Click the corner anchor point, hold and drag the anchor point to the center of the opposite square. You are dragging the corner of the top layer of your design and peeling it back toward the inside of the image. This will produce a skewed peel back with direction handles.
-
6
Click and drag the direction handle pointing downward until it is directly on the corner anchor point you positioned in the previous step. Align it with the bottom line of the grid.
-
7
Click and drag the other direction handle until it lines up horizontally with the corner anchor point and edge of the grid. You have created your page curl.
Adding Depth
-
8
Click the polygon lasso tool in the Tools palette to select it.
-
9
Click and drag around the triangular curl to select it.
-
10
Use the keyboard shortcut "Ctrl+Shift+J" to move the curl to a new layer in the Layers palette. You will now have three layers: the layer you are exposing, the layer you are peeling back and the peel.
-
11
Click the peel layer in the Layers palette to select it.
-
12
Click "Layer" in the top toolbar, hover over "Layer Style" and click "Drop Shadow" from the drop-down menu. The layer style dialog box appears along with a preview of your peel with a drop shadow.
-
13
Click the "Spread" slider until the drop shadow appears realistic.
-
14
Click "OK" to complete the page curl.
