How to Sight in a B.B. Gun Scope

Adding a scope to your BB gun will increase your range of effectiveness when hunting squirrels or target shooting. It is a relatively simple process.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• BB gun
• Laser boresighter
• Target with a safe backstop

1. Use a laser boresighter to zero your gun. Many manufacturers make boresighters that fit guns from .17 caliber all the way up to .50 caliber.

2. Using a gun rest or sandbags, aim at the center of a target and shoot a group of three shots. Adjust the windage and elevation until the crosshairs are in the center of the group.

3. Shoot another group of three at the center of the target. Make any necessary adjustments.

4. Repeat step three until you're hitting the center of the target with every shot.
