Adding a scope to your BB gun will increase your range of effectiveness when hunting squirrels or target shooting. It is a relatively simple process.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • BB gun
  • Laser boresighter
  • Target with a safe backstop
  1. Step 1

Use a laser boresighter to zero your gun. Many manufacturers make boresighters that fit guns from .17 caliber all the way up to .50 caliber.

  2. Step 2

Using a gun rest or sandbags, aim at the center of a target and shoot a group of three shots. Adjust the windage and elevation until the crosshairs are in the center of the group.

  3. Step 3

Shoot another group of three at the center of the target. Make any necessary adjustments.

  4. Step 4

Repeat step three until you're hitting the center of the target with every shot.

Tips & Warnings
  • Wear eye protection when shooting your BB gun and exercise the same caution you would use when handling a firearm.
