How to Make My Roommate Stop Snoring
Almost everyone snores. There are people who snore only occasionally and lightly, then there are those people who snore so loudly that no one can get a good night's rest (including those in other rooms). One of the most common reasons people snore is their sleep position. Lying on the back causes the throat tissues and airway to relax, often causing snoring. Drinking alcohol, certain medications and foods, and even weight gain will cause the throat to relax even more, causing louder snoring. The trick is to lie in a side sleeping position.

1
Using the duct tape, tape a baseball to the outside and back of the snorer's sleep shirt or pajama top. Any ball about the size of a baseball will work.
-
2
The snorer should lie on his side when he goes to bed. When he tries to change sleeping positions to lie on his back, the ball will make it uncomfortable.

Eventually, the body will be "trained" to sleep on its side throughout the night, the ball will no longer be needed and the snoring will have stopped.

Tips & Warnings
Using an extra pillow to elevate the head, nasal strips and dabs of Vick's Vapor Rub at the bottom of each nostril will help open the nasal passages and airway to allow easier breathing and less snoring.
If the snoring is not caused by position, contact a physician because it could be a serious breathing problem such as sleep apnea, tonsillitis or asthma.
