Things You'll Need
- Made-for-stone soap
- Distilled water
- Flour
- Ammonia
- Bowl
- Plastic sandwich bag
- Low-contact tape

Clean the stained area with warm water and a made-for-stone soap.

Dab the area dry.

Moisten the stained area with distilled water.

Combine the flour and ammonia in a bowl. Mix them until a peanut butter consistency is formed.

Apply the mixture ¼ inch thick over the oil stain, overlapping the stain by at least ¼ inch.

Tape a plastic sandwich bag over the mixture. Allow the mixture to set over the stain for 24 hours.

Remove the plastic bag and tape. Lightly touch the mixture to verify it is dry. If it is not, then let it air dry uncovered for a few more hours.

Scrape the mixture off the granite tile, and rinse well. If the stain is still present, but lighter than before, then repeat the process. Otherwise, you will have to call in a professional.
