There are various types of audio formats today. Although many are created for a specific program or device, there are ways of converting these formats to a more universally accepted format, such as MP3. WMA, which stands for Windows Media Audio, is the audio format created by Windows Media Player. Even though it is a popular and widely compatible format, there are occasions when converting the file to an MP3 is ideal, especially now with the popularity of iPods.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

Download and install audio conversion software. There are many free programs that are available online.
