Things You'll Need:
- Team logo (for reference)
- Paint
- Paint rollers and brushes
- Paint tray
- Masking tape

Step 1
Confirm your child's favorite baseball team, and research the team's colors. Look online for team logos and uniforms to find the precise shades of color that the team uses. For example, the Mets' colors are bright blue and orange, while the Yankees' colors are navy blue and white. Some colors lend themselves to room decor better than others, but choose at least one of the team's main colors for the walls.

Step 2
Decide how you will use the team colors to paint the room. Some options include:
* Painting all of the walls in one color
* Painting the room white with one accent wall in a team color
* Painting two walls in one team color and two in the other
* Painting the top of the wall one color and the bottom of the wall another color with an accent band of color in between.
Some options may work better than others, depending on the team's colors. For instance, an entire room painted navy blue might result in a dark-looking room, but two navy walls and two white walls could work well for a Yankees fan. A number of teams use royal blue as part of their color scheme, which can work well for a large bedroom that receives plenty of natural light. -
Step 3
Prepare to paint. Tape off the trim and the edge of the ceiling with painter's tape, and cover the floor and furniture with drop cloths. Mix the paint and pour a small amount into the painter's tray.
-
Step 4
Paint the room according to the color scheme and design you have created. If you have chosen to paint the top and the bottom of the walls different colors, tape a line that runs along the center of all four walls. Paint the top half of the room and remove the tape. Wait for the paint to dry, and then re-tape a line running across all of the walls just above the line where the first color ends. Make sure that the tape is level around the room, and then paint the bottom of the walls with the second color. Remove the tape. You can use a third color (such as the gray that many teams use for travel uniforms) to soften the transition between the colors. To do this, wait for the paint to dry, and then run two parallel lines of tape, two to four inches apart, around the room, making sure that they remain level. Paint the accent color between the pieces of tape, and then remove the painting guides.

Step 5
Paint the team's logo on one wall, if you can copy it well. (Most team logos consist of letters, not pictures, so they are reasonably easy to copy.)
