How to Authorize a Computer to Allow Clip Art
Sometimes when trying to download or view certain Web sites, a pop-up window in the form of a long, thin, yellow, horizontal bar will appear at the top of your Internet browser screen. This is an ActiveX control, which is a Microsoft plug-in that allows you to view all features of a Web page. It allows for an enhanced user experience on Web sites that feature graphics and clip art. Authorizing a computer to allow clip art simple requires the authorization of the ActiveX control when prompted.

Allowing Internet Clip Art

Locate the long, thin, yellow, horizontal pop up bar located at the top of the Internet browser window directly underneath the address bar.

Click on the bar to cause a drop-down menu of ActiveX control commands to appear.

Click on "Allow" to grant authorization to allow the clip art to appear on the Web page.

Locate the security warning that appears when trying to load clip art off on an Office program.

Click "Options" to load the options that will allow you to enable ActiveX to allow clip art.

Click "Enable This Content" to authorize the computer to allow clip art for the current session.
