How to Transfer Songs to an iPod Shuffle
The iPod shuffle is a very small personal audio player manufactured by Apple. The first iPod shuffle was released in January 2005 with a capacity of up to 1GB. In September 2009, the fourth generation iPod shuffle was release with a capacity of either 2GB or 4GB. You can transfer music to your iPod shuffle through iTunes on your computer and set the program so it will automatically load new music from your playlists every time it connects to the computer.

Connect the iPod shuffle and open iTunes on your computer. Select the iPod shuffle from the Devices list on iTunes.

Select the "Music" tab on iTunes and select the songs and playlists that you want copied to your iPod shuffle, or select "Entire Music Library" if you want all of your music to be transferred.

Click "Apply" and iTunes will begin transferring your selected songs to your iPod shuffle. Do not disconnect the iPod shuffle until the transfer is complete.

Connect your iPod shuffle to the computer and it will automatically update your playlists if you have made any changes. If you want to manually add music, you can click a song from the library and drag it over the iPod shuffle in the Devices menu.

Tips & Warnings
Select "Automatically Fill Free Space" if you want the computer to fill any unused space on your iPod shuffle with other songs from your music library that you did not originally select.
