How to Connect a Garden Hose Connection to a Kitchen Faucet

This is because both the garden hose and the kitchen faucet use "female" connections. You can solve this problem and connect your garden hose to your faucet by purchasing a faucet adapter. Wrap a small towel around your faucet's spout tip. Use a pair of pliers to remove the tip by turning it counterclockwise. The towel will prevent you from scratching or damaging the tip.

Insert the hose adapter in place of the faucet tip Tighten the adapter by turning it counterclockwise; it's best to to use the pliers to ensure it's tight.

Run your garden hose into your kitchen. Screw the hose connection into the faucet adapter. Make sure it's tight.

Test the connection by turning the water on (make sure the other end of your hose is outside). If leaks are present, you'll need to tighten the adapter or the hose.
