How to Find a Military Roommate
Those who serve in the nation's armed forces move from duty station to duty station every couple of years and often want to share a house, apartment, or condo as a means of controlling their living expenses. A click of a computer mouse or a simple perusal of a newspaper that serves one of the nation's military communities can help you find a roommate who is in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines or Coast Guard.

1
Search the Internet for information about the nearest military base or bases. Nearly all military bases have single soldier, sailor, airmen or Marines programs that can assist in searches to find a roommate.
-
2
Check out the newspapers that serve the community's civilian or non-military residents. Often, military members advertise for roommate in the classified section of the paper. Most military installations also publish a newspaper serving the active duty and retired service members who live and work on the base. Check the classified section for "roommates wanted" advertisements.
