How to Record Internet Radio Streaming Music
Many people enjoy listening to live streaming Internet radio. Sometimes, though, folks would like to take the programming with them on the go, in their portable MP3 player. Recording streaming Internet radio to MP3 is simple with the proper software.

Find internet stream recording software. There are many different types of software online that can record Internet streams. Some is freeware and some must be purchased. A very easy program to install and use is Freecorder, which can be found at Applian.com (See Resouces). As the name implies, it is a free program.

Download and install the freeware from the Applian.com website. Follow the installation directions and run the program.

Follow the "Adjust Settings" prompt to choose where you want recorded files to be saved and the bitrate of the recorded files. Click "OK."

Go to the Internet radio site you wish to record and open the stream.

Click "Record" on the Freecorder interface. The program will record all sounds coming through your computer.

Click "Stop" to end the recording. The MP3 file will be in the directory that you selected in the settings tab.

Tips & Warnings
The Freecorder software records all sounds coming through your computer speakers, including any email or instant message alerts you may have running on your desktop. If you want an uninterrupted recording, make sure such programs are not running during the recording.
