Hand blenders are smaller and more convenient to use than traditional blenders. They are easier to store and clean. Hand blenders work well for small projects such as beating a few eggs for making an omelet. The hand blender can also whip up some egg whites if you plan to make meringue.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Hand blender
  • Eggs
  • Bowl
  1. Step 1

Crack your eggs in a bowl and remove any shells.

  2. Step 2

Attach the upper portion of your hand blender to the bottom portion. It should snap in place without too much effort.

  3. Step 3

Add batteries to your hand blender if required. Otherwise, you will need to locate the nearest outlet and plug your hand blender in.

  4. Step 4

Set the hand blender in the bowl with the eggs at an angle. About a 20 to 30 degree angle will do.

  5. Step 5

Press the on button and allow your blender to beat your eggs for you. This should only take about 60 seconds.

  6. Step 6

Turn the hand blender off, and remove the bottom attachment. Clean it with dish soap and water before returning it to its packaging.

Tips & Warnings
  • Hand blenders are also good for pureeing food, chopping onions and mixing drinks.
  • Never clean your hand blender while it is still plugged into an outlet. This could lead to electrocution.
