1
Use a pencil to draw a wide triangle on a light cardboard sheet that measures at least 12 inches by 12 inches by 18 inches. Draw the triangle so that the bottom edge is slightly rounded. Cut out the triangle.

2
Add glitter, ribbons, markers or feathers with hot glue or a glue stick to decorate your party hat. Be creative and use your imagination to make the hat as wild as you can for the event.

3
Gather a bunch of metallic curling ribbons or ribbons that match your party theme and tie a knot in the middle. Use hot glue to attach the knot of the curling ribbons to the inside edge of the triangle at the very top. These ribbons will decorate the top of the hat.
-
4
Bring the left corner of the decorated cardboard sheet towards the right corner until they overlap and form a cone shape. Apply a strip of hot glue to the edge of your hat and press down until the glue dries.
-
5
Turn the hat so that the glued side is in the back and is less noticeable. Align the hole puncher near the bottom edge of the party hat so the hole puncher is right above where your ear would be. Make a small hole on each side of the hat.
-
6
Finish your party hat by threading ribbon or elastic cord through the holes to create a chin string.
