Personal fitness can be a challenging and rewarding career for the health-conscious, energetic and outgoing person. The job requires direct sales ability and interpersonal skill, as you are your own product and must sell your value to the gym where you propose to work. You'll need to obtain certification from a nationally accredited organization, which involves rigorous study and testing. There is also a component of the test known as the "practical" exam, which rates your hands-on knowledge, as well as your ability to demonstrate exercises safely and effectively.
