If you own an Amano Time Clock, you may have noticed that the time has not updated at the beginning and end of Daylight Saving Time (DST). This is because the government changed the beginning and end of DST in 2007. In 2007, DST began on the second Sunday in March and ended on the first Sunday in November. By using a one-time customization, you will be able to set your Amano Time Clock so that it recognizes the new DST schedule.
Press the "Reset" button. While pressing down, push on the black circular button on the right of the Time Clock. Release the "Reset" button, but continue to press the black circular button on the right. When you see the text "Pro9" on the screen, release the black button.
Push the black button on the right again. The screen should show "0000." It needs to show "8088," so alternate pushing the black button on the left and the black button on the right to change the numbers. Once they are at "8088," push the black button on the right once more. You should see "Pl dATE" at this time, which means that it is ready for you to set the year, month and day.
Push the black button on the left until you see "P3 bdLt." The push the black button on the right. Set the starting date for DST by using the button on the left to control movement and the button on the right to confirm the year, month and day. Push the black button on the right again when the date is correct. When you see "P3 bdLt" again, push the button on the left so that you see "P4 EdLt."
Set the ending date for DST. Just as you did before, use the button on the left to control movement and the button on the right to confirm the year, month, and day. Push the button on the right when finished. You'll see "P4 EdLt" again. Push the button on the left until you see "END." Push the button on the right one last time to save the settings. Your Amano Time Clock is now updated to the current DST settings.
Tips & Warnings
- Make sure you have the correct DST starting and ending dates before beginning the reset.
- Hawaii and Arizona do not observe DST.
