Things You'll Need:
- Sunday Newspaper
- Scissors
- Internet access
- Note pad & pencil
-
Step 1
The first thing is to always buy your local Sunday Newspaper. Except for holiday weekends, the paper normally has the coupon inserts. Also ask your family, friends and neighbors for any inserts they are not going to use. You can never save too much money, right?
-
Step 2
Now go on the wonderful internet. On Yahoo Groups you will find a ton of groups where you can trade coupons. This is very beneficial actually. It allows you to help someone else with what they need and hopefully find what you need in the process. Always cut out all of your coupons, even if you think you won't use them. You never know what someone else will be looking for.
-
Step 3
Now that you have the coupons, what should you do with them to maximize the savings? Well, you want to look for stores that offer double coupons. You can then save double the face value of the coupon. Also look for stores that offer their own "in house" coupons. Usually these are drug stores and they will accept their coupon AND a manufacturer's coupon on the same item. You can even end up getting items FREE this way. Watch for items to go on sale and use your coupons during the sale. Some stores will let you use two coupons on a BOGO Free deal as well.

on 11/16/2009 This is a great way to save money. I have tons of coupons and many times when paired with a sale and double or triple store coupons the item ends up free! How can you beat that? 5* and rec
