How to get Free Antivirus Protection for Windows

In today's internet age it is foolish to go without an updated antivirus protection program. There are many programs out there that claim to provide free virus protection but many of them are just trying to sell you something more or may actually be a virus themselves.

Instructions

1. Point your web browser to http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/ Or search Google for Microsoft Security Essentials.

2. Click the download now link in the middle of the page.

3. Select your preffered language and your operating system type. (If you don’t know your operating system type you can find it by right clicking on the My Computer icon and then clicking on properties)

4. After the download completes, run the setup program.

5. After the install is complete you will be protected from viruses for FREE! This even includes automatic updates!

6. If you have any complications with the install you can go to http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/ and click the support tab and view Microsoft's video tutorials.

Tips & Warnings

• If you have another antivirus application make sure to uninstall it before installing a new one.
