Step 1
Home made outfits are unique.COSTUME
Make sure you child's costume is made out of Non-Flammable material with light-reflector material. If not you can get some sports belts such as Nike and when a light from a car shines on them they will take notice.
Do not wear all black costumes.
Make sure you put a label inside the costume with emergency information. -
Step 2
Might want to carry some water with you while Trick or Treating.Keep all eyes, ears, nose and mouth open without obstructions. You might want to cut open the masks a little larger so they can breathe and see.
Try not to have long flowing pieces of material so they do not trip or get lite up by a candle.
Carry a flashlight. -
Step 3
Make carmel apples for a healthier alternative.Get used clothing from local Goodwill stores or resale stores.
Have your kids pick out some of their favorite candy and give the rest to a charity. Tell them if they put the food out maybe the Great Pumpkin will come and bring them a surprise. -
Step 4
An alternative to cutting out pumpkins.Have children cut out face pieces in magazines or draw their own, cut out and tape or glue to pumpkin instead of all the knifes and carving.
-
Step 5
If you do not live near anyone play Candyland.
