You will discover the specialness and joy of celebrating a baptism.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • a belief in the Christian faith
  • a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • a church membership
  • a decision to dedicate your life to knowing and loving Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
  1. Step 1

For a baptism to be meaningful, one needs first to have faith in Jesus Christ and in His sacrifice for us on the cross. This means that one comes to accept Jesus Christ in their own heart as their personal Lord and Savior.

  2. Step 2

The next step in celebrating a baptism is to regularly attend or become a member of a church. Differences in denominations do not matter. The main idea of joining or attending church is not to pressure or judge another person. The purpose of church is to read the Bible, worship Jesus Christ together as a community.

  3. Step 3

The third step in celebrating a baptism is to dedicate or renew living for Jesus Christ. We are all sinful and cannot do this alone. The Good News is that through trusting in Jesus Christ and his death on the cross and the resurrection, we have been redeemed and forgiven!

Tips & Warnings
  • Please do not feel pressured or judged. The decision to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and be baptized is an important and personal one. Be sure that you take the time you need to get to know Jesus Christ and who He is.
  • You are loved!
