Step 1
Getting Started
Head down to your local office supplies store or look online for blank address label sheets. Make sure that the sheets you purchase are designed to be used with your home printer. -
Step 2
Address Label Templates
Access a search engine and start a search for address label templates. Such templates can be found through websites such as wordlabel.com (see resources section). Using pre-made templates will make the process of generating address labels a snap.
Also consider using address label generating software. Such software will help you design and produce address labels to your exact specifications. If you would like to avoid the costs of purchasing such software, consider looking online for a demo or trial version of it. -
Step 3
Design Your Labels
Once you have found an address label template, download it and open it in the word processor of your choice. Input your name and address exactly how you would like it to appear on your label. Once you are satisfied with your labels, click "print preview" to see how they will look before printing them. -
Step 4
Print
Once you have finished designing your address labels, load your printer with a blank address label sheet. Such sheets will be relatively thick so be sure to load only one sheet at a time to avoid paper jams. Once your address labels have successfully printed give them a minute to dry and put them to use. -
Step 5
Remember to keep your personalized address labels saved to your computer/word processor. This will come in handy if you ever change your address or wish to tweak your address labels.
