Using a fitness blog can be a great way to keep a person focused on their weight loss goals. Whether your blog is public or private, it can help hold you accountable so that you continue working towards weight loss.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Blog host
  1. Step 1

Choose a blogging platform. Blogger and Wordpress are both free and you can make them either public or private depending on what you would prefer. Deciding to make your blog public will enable others to find and read your blog. Your posts may help them to begin working on their own fitness blog, allowing you both to motivate each other and help one another stay on track.

  2. Step 2

Choose a title that's related to fitness or weight loss to help you stay focused on that topic when you begin to write posts.

  3. Step 3

Post your workouts. Writing workouts on your blog will work as a workout journal. This will allow you to track your progress over the weeks, months and years that you follow a workout program.

  4. Step 4

Post what you eat on your fitness blog. This is entirely optional, but it can help you to realize what you're eating and if you're really making the best choices when it comes to food. It can also help you pinpoint any problems that certain foods give you, such as stomachaches, nausea, bloating, heartburn, etc.

  5. Step 5

Post any weight loss or other fitness milestones that you reach, including pictures if you desire (you can always block out your face). For example, if you lose 10 pounds, if you were able to increase the weight on a certain strength training exercise. Visualizing and then actually seeing your improvements will help keep you motivated.
