Soy candles are fun and cheap to make at home. They are all-nutural and last longer then other candles. The candles are easy and don't take much time at all to make.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Melt the soy wax in a double boiler. With a Thermometer clipped to the side of the double boiler, watch the temperature.

  2. Step 2

    When the temperature is between 170 - 180 degrees you can add your dye. Stir the dye until mixed.

  3. Step 3

    Now you can add the oil. Stir the oil for 2 mins.Take off the stove.

  4. Step 4

    Hot glue the wick to the bottom of the candle jar. Try to get the wick so close as you can to the middle of the jar. Let glue dry.

  5. Step 5

    slowly Pour wax in jar. To keep the wick up, put a popsicle stick on each side of the wick.

  6. Step 6

    Let candle set overnight. Do not light the candle for 24 hours.

Tips & Warnings
  • Wax is very hot! Be careful when pouring and moving the candle jar.
