How to Find and Use Resume Templates on Microsoft Works

Microsoft Works has many different templates in which you can do a lot of different things. You can create your own resume. There are lots of style to choose from.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Click and open up the Microsoft Works Task Launcher. You can do this by clicking on the start button or logo on the left of your screen. Go to Programs and scroll down to Microsoft works, look for Microsoft Works Task Launcher.

  2. Step 2

    When you open up Microsoft Works Task Launcher, go to the top of the page, click on templates. On the left of the screen, click on ‘Letters and Labels’. Then click on Resume on the right side of the page. There are many resume samples to view. There is the Blue line, chronological resume, Entry Level resume samples, Fading Green Squares, Functional, laptop, Minimalist theme and Professional.

  3. Step 3

    To preview each sample and for a larger view, click on it and click on the arrow where it says, ‘use this style' Once you find the style you want to use, go back and click the 'Use This Style' link at the top of your window. When the document opens up, you can change the font, font style and size.

  4. Step 4

    Before you start filling in all of the sections, you should save the resume template to your computer. Go to File at the top and click save as, put in the name of the file. Then fill in the sections of the resume and continue to save it as you go. When you are all finished, you can print your document by going to file and print.
