How to Properly Wash Nylon Flags in a Washing Machine
Dirty nylon flags are not very presentable. Like other objects, dirt, dust and grime can collect on your flags, especially if they are outside or in a dusty environment. You can wash your nylon flags in your washing machine. All you need is some regular laundry detergent and a place for the flag to air dry. No special equipment or chemicals are needed. Things You'll Need
- Dry cloth or towel
- Stain remover
- Sponge
- Warm water
- Landry detergent
- Clothesline, drying rack or flat surface

Remove the nylon flag from the flagpole or other device it is attached to.

Place the flag on a flat surface, and wipe off any loose dust and dirt with a dry cloth or towel.

Apply a stain remover to a damp sponge, and wipe off any stains like bird feces or other caked-on substances. You may have to re-wet the sponge in warm water to remove any deep stains.

Place the nylon flag in your washing machine after removing all the stains.

Fill the washing machine with cold water, and add one cap full of liquid laundry detergent or one scoop of powder laundry detergent.

Set the washer to a delicate cycle, and start the machine.

Dry the flag on a clothesline, drying rack or by laying it on a clean dry surface. Do not place the nylon flag in a dryer.
