How to Define Your Passion in Life
Passion can be anything powerful or compelling, a strong desire towards something or just overall enthusiasm in life. Having passion in your life helps give personal power to live fully. When mind, body and spirit work together, it can help to manifest your potential and overcome obstacles. Many people shy away from seeking passion because of fear of failure and of taking the risks that will lead to an undefined future. Defining passion in life can fuel creativity and inspiration and change your life experience.

Answer the following questions. This activity will only be beneficial if you answer honestly and with thought. What do you really want in life and why do you want it? This can be happiness, a relationship, a new career, taking up painting, changing your eating habits, quitting smoking, anything that you feel enthusiastic and happy about or something that you believe will bring passion into your life.
Do you want this thing for yourself or for someone else? Define your motivation. For example, it can be to feel more happiness or joy in life or to change how your body feels. Are you willing to work hard to obtain this goal? What will you gain, what will it cost you to go after that goal and do you believe your goal is worth the cost? Do you really believe that you can obtain this goal? Are you willing to admit that succeeding is your responsibility and it's no one else's fault if you don't obtain these goals? Remember to answer honestly.

Figure out how to obtain these goals by breaking a bigger goal into smaller, more easily obtainable goals. Write down the steps. Set a time frame to achieve these goals, making them realistic and doable. This will help you strategize how to obtain these goals through action, with the smaller goals ultimately leading to the bigger goal.

Believe that you can actually obtain the things that you want and feel passionate about. No more procrastinating. Once you have defined something you really want, start to rid your life of things that prevent you from obtaining that goal. Take responsibility and realize that you are your only limit. Don't make excuses for why you can't have these things; think like a child who believes anything is possible. Be open to living passionately and choose to go down the path toward that goal.
