Instructions

    • 1

Wash the chair with soap, warm water and a plastic scouring pad (do not use metal; this may scratch). Scrape with the plastic scraper, then rub briskly and firmly with the scouring pad to remove as much loose paint as possible. Dry the chair with a towel.

    • 2

Spray the chair with paint stripper. Apply generously to every section of the chair's surface that has paint on it. Consult the instructions on the stripper bottle to see how long to wait before proceeding.

    • 3

Scrape off the paint with the plastic scraper. The paint should all have turned to thick paste by this point; if it hasn't, apply more stripper and wait a while longer before you try again.

    • 4

Clean the paint goo off the scraper after each swipe using a wet rag; this will keep it from accumulating on parts of the chair.

    • 5

Repeat steps 2 through 4 as needed. Each application of stripper will remove the outermost layer of paint. The thicker the paint is, the more you'll need to apply in order to remove all of it.
