• Hair straightener or curling iron
• Light hold hair spray
• Hair tie
• Hair pins and clips

Instructions

1. Decide on what look you are going for. For example, you should know ahead of time whether the hair is going to be worn half up or all up.

2. Curl or straighten the hair depending on what look you are trying to achieve. Curled styles create softer updos and straight updos tend to be less formal.

3. Mist a light hold hair spray throughout the hair. This will create a base for any pins or clips that you use for the updo.

4. Tie back a pony tail at the center where the updo will be.
