If you were working on a craft or home improvement project and accidentally got super glue on your fingers, you may be able to remove it with rubbing alcohol. Super glue is made with cyanoacrylate, which is a strong, fast-bonding adhesive. While super glue is convenient for securing everything from wood to plastic, getting the adhesive on your skin can be painful. Work the glue off gently to avoid tearing or ripping your skin.

Fill a bowl with warm water. Add a few drops of a gentle dish or hand soap and mix until bubbles form.

Place the fingers with glue on them into the bowl. Soak your fingers in the warm, soapy water for 10 minutes to help loosen and soften the adhesive. Dip a washcloth into the soapy water and hold it against the skin if the glue is on an area other than your fingers.

Soak the tip of a cotton swab with rubbing alcohol. Place the swab tip against the skin and gently rub the alcohol into the glue until it starts to dissolve or peel off.

Wash the skin with warm, soapy water to remove any super glue or rubbing alcohol residue. Rub exfoliating soap against your skin to remove any remaining super glue particles.
