  1. Step 1

Go online to sites.google.com. If you have a Gmail or Google account, fill out your email and password and click "Sign in."

  2. Step 2

Sign up for a Google account if you don't have one. Click on "Create an account now."

  7. Step 7

Format your Web page. Select your text and use the buttons on the top left toolbar to edit your font size, format your words in bold or italics, or create links.

  8. Step 8

Insert pictures, video or other elements to your Web page. Click on the "Insert" link on the toolbar on the top left and scroll down to the element you want to add to your web page to add it.

  9. Step 9

Click on the "Save" button on the top right of the page periodically, and when you're finished making your Web page.

Tips & Warnings
  • If the page doesn't move forward on Step 5, review the top of the page--you may have to choose another site name if it's already taken.
  • To create another Web page on your website, click the "Create page" button on the top right when viewing your Web page.
  • To share your new Web page, click "More actions" and "Share this site." Review sharing permissions on the page before inviting people to your site, then enter an email address and click "Invite these people."
  • As a free service, there are some basic rules for using Google Sites. For example, sexually explicit, violent or hateful material is strictly prohibited. Review the Google Sites Program Policies for full details.
